MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
“Photos so good, even your in-laws will approve.”
Whether it’s a Nashville wedding, a U.S. wedding, or a “pack your bags, we’re going international” wedding—I’m there. My favorite part? Making brides laugh, relax, and actually enjoy being in front of the camera (yes, it’s possible). My goal is simple: I want your wedding day to be fun, stress-free, and memorable. And in twenty years, when you’re flipping through your album, I want you to smile, cry happy tears, and maybe even laugh at your uncle’s questionable dance moves all over again.
When you hire me, you’re not just getting a wedding photographer—you’re getting 30 years of wedding-world survival skills. I’ve tied ties, pinned boutonnieres, bustled dresses, and even played backup MC when needed. Basically, I’ve done everything short of baking the cake (and trust me, you don’t want me to try that). Most importantly, I know how to capture every moment that makes your wedding uniquely yours.
My job isn’t just to take photos—it’s to make your day easier. I’ll help you breathe, laugh, and get the images you’ve always wanted. Hey, I’ve seen it all—and I’m more than happy to share tips, tricks, and maybe a few survival hacks to keep things running smoothly.
This is your day. You deserve to enjoy it. I’ll handle the photos—you just handle the “I do.”

Style
Over the last thirty years, I’ve developed, honed, perfected—and then completely reinvented—my photography style (because perms, shoulder pads, and mullets thankfully don’t last forever). I don’t box myself in as just a photojournalist, a portrait photographer, or a candid connoisseur—I cover all the bases.
Here’s why that matters: weddings are fluid, unpredictable, and full of surprises. One minute it’s a perfectly posed portrait of your parents, the next it’s your bridesmaids going full Olympic mode over the bouquet toss, and then suddenly there’s a tearful hug that tells an entire love story in a single frame.
A portrait photographer might nail the formal shots. A candid specialist might snag the laughter. A photojournalist might capture the emotion. But at your wedding? You deserve all of it—and that’s exactly what I deliver.

Education
I first started learning wedding photography back in college at the University of South Alabama, working alongside some truly talented photographers. From there, I dove even deeper—working with seasoned pros, attending seminars, taking online classes, and yes, even cracking open a book or two (those things still exist!).
Los Angeles became my training ground, where I photographed weddings everywhere from yachts to glass chapels to sandy beaches. It was incredible—and often a marathon, photographing two weddings in a single day. Talk about learning fast!
Over the years, I’ve mastered indoor and outdoor lighting, posing, angles, and picked up countless tips and tricks to help wedding days run more smoothly. Now in Nashville, I’ve already teamed up with several amazing photographers, and I couldn’t be more excited to capture love stories here in Music City.

Equipment
I started photography back in the film days. Yep—film. (Ask your kids, they’ll think it’s an ancient artifact.) It was a completely different ballgame: swapping out rolls of film at the worst possible moments, praying the lab didn’t mess things up, and hoping you caught every critical shot with no blinks. Talk about stress! No wonder so many incredible photographers back then wouldn’t touch weddings with a ten-foot lens.
Thankfully, digital changed everything. Cameras today crush low light, give you virtually unlimited shots (careful, novices), and let you instantly see if Uncle Bob blinked again.
These days, I bring two Nikon bodies, a collection of Nikkor lenses, multiple Nikon speedlights, and enough backup gear to start my own camera store. In fact, I carry two complete camera bags—primary and backup—because your wedding deserves more than a Plan A. Don’t worry. I’ve got you covered!
